Day 01: Cusco – Sacred Valley Tour.

06:30 am and 7:00 am. We will begin early with a pick-up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco. We will travel towards the great Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Chinchero, an ancient Inca palace converted into a colonial church. We will see traditional textiles and learn about South American camelids.
We will continue to
Moray, an Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces. We will learn how the Incas mastered the climate and crops. We will walk among the concentric circles and feel the energy of this unique place.
Next we continue to:
Salineras, where we will see more than 4,500 salt ponds that have been active since Inca times. We will discover the ancestral process of salt extraction. We will take spectacular photographs of the white terraces that contrast with the landscape.
Afterward, we will arrive in:
Urubamba for take delicius buffet lunch (Include) surrounded by Andean scenery. We continue to:
Ollantaytambo, a lively town with Inca streets and an imposing stone fortress. We will climb the steps and admire the view of the valley.
Afterward, we will go to the train station to board the tourist class train:
4:30 pm or 7:00 pm: which will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes.
Arriving at approximately 6:10 pm: After arriving in Aguas Calientes, a host from the accommodation will take you to the hotel. (Meeting with the guide for the following day)
Overnight.

Day 2: Sightseeing to Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

06:00 am We will get ready to begin our tour.
Once ready and after breakfast, we will head to the bus station.
07:00 am You will board the buses to the magnificent Machu Picchu; the journey will take 30 minutes.
Possible entry times to Machu Picchu are: 7:00 am, 8:00 am, or 11:00 am (depending on availability and weather conditions).
Exploring Machu Picchu
08:00 am You will have a 3-hour guided tour, visiting the main sites such as: the main plaza, the urban sector, the circular tower, the sundial, the Inca cemetery, etc.
Once you have fully enjoyed your visit, the history of the site, the fantastic view, and captured everything on your camera, we will begin the return journey from Machu Picchu to the town of Aguas Calientes.
Descent to the town of Aguas Calientes:
You have two options for descending: walking or by bus. The decision will be made there at the appropriate time. Walking takes approximately one hour. By bus, it takes 30 minutes (US$12). Buses depart every 10 minutes.
You can use your free time in Aguas Calientes to visit the hot springs or photograph the town (at your own expense).
Return by tourist train: Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco (you can choose your return train)
Option A – 2:30 pm Aguas Calientes train – 4:00 pm Ollantaytambo (van) – 6:30 pm Cusco
Option B – 7:00  Aguas Calientes (train) – 8:45 pm Ollantaytambo (van) – 10:50 PM Cusco
Upon disembarking from the train in Ollantaytambo, our staff will be in charge of transferring you to a van or tourist bus for the city of Cusco, arriving at Plaza San Francisco, this concluding a day full of memorable moments.

This operator only offers pick-ups from the hotel and hostel accommodation listed, this covers over 90% of the accommodation providers in the area. They do not provide pick-ups or drop-offs at private residences, Airbnb, bus terminals etc. Select an alternative close by and be ready there for pick-up at the time on your booking confirmation.

How much is the tourist ticket?

There are 2 types of tourist ticket: – General tourist ticket, which has a cost of 130 soles and includes 16 attractions. Among them are Attractions of the city tour, the Sacred Valley, Maras – Moray, and some museums. – Partial tourist ticket, which has a cost of 70 soles, and includes only certain attractions depending on the tour that takes place: City Tour, Sacred Valley, and Maras – Moray.

How do I avoid altitude sickness?

Take Soroche (Diamox) pills, eat small meals, drink coca tea, drink lots of water, and avoid alcohol (it’s a dehydrator). The best way to avoid altitude sickness is to acclimatize yourself. The recommended approach for acclimatization is to ascend gradually, spending at least 24 hours at Your hotel.

Is the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu worth it?

The walk up to Machu Picchu can be seen as part of the experience. However, the bus is an option for those who are tired.
Bus levaes every 15min from Aguas Calientes town to Machupicchu ($12 one way / takes 30min).

Where is Huayna (Wayna) Picchu?

Huayna Picchu Mountain is the peak located to the north of Machu Picchu citadel. It is the backdrop to the classic image of Machu Picchu. The peak offers inspiring views of the ruins and 360° views of the area. The climb to the summit takes 45 minutes, it is a challenging trek and is very steep in parts. Limited to 400 a day, tickets must be purchased as a combo ticket at the same time as your entrance to Machu Picchu. This ticket cannot be purchased separately and is always in high demand.

What is Machu Picchu Mountain?

Machu Picchu Mountain is the peak located to the south-west of Machu Picchu citadel. The trek offers unparalleled sights of the ruins and panoramic views of the surrounding scenery. The trek is wide and well-marked. It is a moderate/challenging trek and takes 90 minutes to ascend. Limited to 400 a day, tickets must be purchased as a combo ticket at the same time as your entrance to Machu Picchu. This ticket cannot be purchased separately.
