Visit the Waqrapukara Trek complex and its surroundings if: You want to know one of the most enigmatic archaeological places in Cusco. You like to enjoy the landscape and the walks. You want to enjoy adventure tourism? Between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and start the journey to the archaeological complex of WaqraPukara. During the journey, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the south of Cusco. Later, around 7:30 a.m. you will taste a pleasant breakfast in Cusipata. At the end, we will resume the tour towards the Pomacanchi lagoon, which presents calm bluish-green waters. We will continue through zigzagging sections at the top of the mountains with the most beautiful views of the lagoon and its surroundings. Then, we will continue through the community of Santa Lucía (approximately 1.30 hours on the way) until we reach the closest point to begin the walk to the archaeological complex. We will start the walk along a slightly flat path with small ascents and descents, we will enjoy the most beautiful views towards an incredible canyon until we reach the archaeological complex of Waqra Pukara around 12:30 p.m. the walk is: 03km Once in Waqra Pukara , you will know the Intipunku (Puerta del Sol), the main square, the towers, the terraces, the enclosure of the Inka Tito Cosñipa. In addition, you can take the opportunity to take the best photos of the place. At 3:00 p.m., we will start the road to the city of Cusco. On the way you will taste a delicious cold lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco at 7:00 p.m. and we will take you back to Cusco Plaza San Francisco.
